Snowflake

Snowflake for enterprise data platforms

Snowflake is a strong foundation for enterprise reporting, governed data, and secure sharing. We design it so reports use agreed definitions, workloads do not compete for compute, access is controlled, and costs have an owner.

What it is good at

Governed analytics with agreed definitions, ownership, and lineage across teams

Independent compute for BI, transformation, data science, and ad-hoc work

Historical data with retention and recovery controls that match the workload

Secure data sharing with teams, customers, and partner, without manually maintained extracts

Data governance through roles, masking, row-access policies, and tagging

Workload-level cost visibility, ownership, and resource controls

Cortex AI models, agents, and CoCo for governed AI and data engineering workflows

What we deliver with Snowflake

Migration to Snowflake with reconciliation

We move selected analytics workloads from Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and Synapse, Redshift, and BigQuery to Snowflake where the business case and technical fit are clear. Before cutover, we validate critical reports, historical periods, and data volumes against agreed reconciliation criteria.

Governed data models

We design data models with clear definitions of metrics, ownership, lineage, and testing. We choose the appropriate transformation pattern for each workload, using dbt, Dynamic Tables, Streams and Tasks, or simpler approaches where they make more sense.

Workload architecture

We separate ingestion, transformation, BI, data science, and ad-hoc workloads so they can be managed according to their specific requirements. We define warehouse sizing, suspension policies, concurrency settings, ownership, and each warehouse’s purpose.

Cost attribution and optimization

Snowflake gives teams control over compute, but costs still need clear ownership and active management. We identify the warehouses, queries, refreshes, storage, and serverless features driving the bill. We then use workload isolation, query analysis, tagging, budgets, and resource controls to make costs visible and actionable.

Secure data sharing

We design governed data sharing between business units, customers, and partners. Access is controlled, auditable, and revocable — without relying on manually maintained extracts and duplicate pipelines.

Modernizing enterprise reporting

We move analytical workloads away from operational systems when there is a clear case for doing so. The result is a governed historical and reporting layer that reduces analytical pressure on systems such as SAP and Oracle.

Frequently asked questions

We already run Snowflake. What would you actually change?
We examine workload design, transformation logic, warehouse architecture, ownership, access controls, and cost attribution. The platform itself is rarely the whole problem.
How do you control Snowflake spend?
We analyze warehouse usage, query history, queued queries, storage growth, and serverless consumption. We then identify idle compute, inefficient workloads, duplicate processing, and unowned resources.
Can you reduce our Snowflake costs without reducing performance?
Often, yes. We first establish what is driving the cost and then prioritize changes where there is a clear financial and operational case.
When should we use multi-cluster warehouses?
When multiple users or workloads require concurrent access. Multi-cluster is not a general solution for slow SQL, inefficient transformations, or poor data models.
How do you approach a Snowflake migration?
We start with workload and dependency analysis, define reconciliation criteria, migrate in stages, and validate critical numbers before cutover.
Can Snowflake replace every analytical system?
No. Snowflake is well suited to governed historical data, enterprise reporting, and controlled data sharing. Some high-volume real-time workloads may be better served by ClickHouse alongside Snowflake.
Do you work with existing Snowflake teams?
Yes. We can take ownership of a defined problem or work alongside an internal data and engineering team.
Which platforms do you migrate to Snowflake?
We migrate selected analytics workloads from Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server and Synapse, Redshift, and BigQuery. Every migration starts with an assessment of dependencies, conversion effort, validation requirements, and cutover risk.
Who owns what you build?
You own the Snowflake account, repositories, models, policies, and documentation from the start. Knowledge transfer and handover are part of delivery.
